Thanks To Our Generous Donors

This Friday we will be mailing out our thank you cards to our generous donors that helped to get us two more iPad minis.  Now we have FOUR and we are having so much fun learning through games.  Next week we are going to begin doing research projects using the iPad mini's to meet our writing goals. 

We are so grateful for the compassion that so many people from around New York have shown our learning lab.

Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

 
This just in... we are getting 2 more iPad mini's!

Our current iPads reached their maximum space for apps.  There was just one thing left to do -- write a proposal for some more. Luckily, the project was funded.  Over $900 was donated for the iPads and protection plan... and they should be arriving after our spring break.

Donors Choose

In the past, we have been supported with 2 projects from Donor's Choose.  Now we hope to get a technology center with 2 ipad mini's!

Ms. Rappaport has just written a proposal, and hope that it is met before it's December deadline.  Hoping for 2 ipad mini's this school year!

We are so lucky!

We received a CD player that will allow us to listen to read aloud stories, and listen to music in our classroom and now...

wait for it...

we are getting colorful soccer seat cushions for Ms. Platt's small group work

AND

colorful fun number lines to help us count and play math games with

AND

puppets for our puppet theater including all the characters from:

• The Three Billy Goats Gruff

• The Three Little Pigs

• Goldilocks and the Three Bears

I am so excited to share all these things with you!
Meeting the characters in our books is going to be so exciting as we bring them to life in our theater!

Soon we'll be taking photos and sending thank you cards to all the wonderful donors that helped bring these wonderful resources to our classroom.  We are so lucky!

I have a very special announcement to make...

Over the course of 2 days, Ms. Platt posted a project to help enhance our learning in the classroom --- purchasing a special CD/cassette player and recorder that allows many students to participate in an activity at one time.

...Well I am very happy to announce that our project has just been funded $183.91, and we will be receiving our listening center soon!

HIP HIP HOORAY!
